Yes, apology and support for family.  I would have to agree with MSC, I saw areas of the Port that seemed to need repair, however that is no excuse for MSC not assuring safety for their passengers.

Most definitely an apology - an unbelievable situation - an investigation should point to what caused the accident - it usually comes down to human error - someone not locking something or making sure it was secured - something like this will make me look twice as I board a ship again.

For some reason, when I have had to "walk up the gang plank"  I have always been leery of the last step and always look to see if it is totally across to ship.
